Ingredients for these no bake peanut butter chocolate bars are:
|Peanut butter, smooth||1 cup|
|Light brown sugar||1/3 cup|
|Unsalted butter, cut into chunks||1Tbsp|
|Light corn syrup||1/3 cup|
|Unfrosted corn flakes, coarsely crushed||4 and 1/2 cups|
|Chopped peanuts, unsalted||1 cup|
|Vanilla extract||3/4 tsp|
|Semisweet chocolate mini morsels||1 cup|
In a large saucepan, bring peanut butter, brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup to a boil over medium heat. Stir constantly for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and stir in corn flakes, 2/3 cup of chopped peanuts, and vanilla extract until evenly incorporated.
Turn the mixture out onto the prepared baking pan, and spread it to cover the pan evenly.
Immediately sprinkle chocolate minimorsels over the top, and let stand until they melt. Spread melted chocolate to evenly cover the top.
Sprinkle the remaining 1/3 cup chopped peanuts over chocolate.
Refrigerate until chocolate completely set
Cut into bars of your choice with a sharp knife.
Store these no bake peanut butter chocolate bars in airtight containers at room temperature for 1 week, or freeze for up to one month.
