Applesauce Brownies
Delicious and Low Fat

All you need to make these fudgy, chewy, delicious applesauce brownies are:

Unsweetened chocolate 2 oz
Plain cake flour 1 cup
Cocoa powder 4 oz
Salt 1 tsp
Whole eggs 2 large
Egg whites 3 large whites
Granulated sugar 1/2 cup
Light corn syrup 1/2 cup
Unsweetened applesauce 1 cup
Canola oil 3 oz
Vanilla extract 1 Tbsp


  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and coat a 9″ x 9″ baking pan with vegetable oil.

  • Melt unsweetened chocolate over a bain marie or in a double boiler and set aside.

  • Combine cake flour, cocoa powder, salt, and set aside.

  • Whisk egg whites and eggs together.

  • add sugar, light corn syrup, applesauce, canola oil and vanilla. Stir in melted chocolate.

  • Fold in the flour mixture.

  • pour into prepared baking pan, and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the center does not move when you jiggle the pan.
