Chocolate Heart Cookies
Gluten Free and No Bake


Crispy chocolate heart cookies will help you win a few hearts, especially when you make them with love. Very often, the best thing in life is the simplest, but that does not mean you should give away the secret of how quick and easy it is to make these cookies.:)

Semisweet chocolate chips1 cup
Light corn syrup¼ cup
Unsalted butter, softened2 Tbsp
Peppermint extract½ tsp
Crisp rice cereal3 cups

Some ingredients for chocolate valentine cookies

  • Melt chocolate chips with light corn syrup and butter in a saucepan over low heat, stirring with a wooden spoon until melted and smooth.

  • Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract. Then gently stir in rice cereal until the cereal is evenly coated with chocolate.

  • Cutting out chocolate heart cookies Immediately turn the chocolate-coated cereal out onto a large piece of wax or parchment paper. Shape the mixture into a 12x6-inch rectangle. Refrigerate for about 20 minutes or until slightly firm.

  • Cut cereal mixture using different sizes of heart-shaped cookie cutters. Chill chocolate heart cookies again until firm, then wrap each cookie in plastic wrap if desired.
